Look After Your Feet

Wash your feet often

Keep your feet clean by washing them every day in warm soapy water, but don’t soak them, as this might destroy your skin’s natural oils.

Dry your feet well

Dry your feet thoroughly after washing them, especially between the toes, which is where fungal infections like atheletes foot can develop.

Moisturise and file

If your skin is dry, apply moisturising cream all over the foot every day.

Gently remove hard skin and calluses with a foot file. Don’t overdo it or you could damage fresh skin underneath.

Testimonials

“I’m a keen runner and walker and struggled for years with a persistent ankle niggle which I just presumed I would have to put up with. It was a pain, literally! After Footbalance analysis, Louise explained how orthotics would support my ankle correctly. Since wearing them, the problem has disappeared. If I run without them in my trainers – it’s back! An absolute game changer for me. Anytime I train harder or further, I can do it happily and injury free. I would highly recommend.”

Louise Wright

“My consultant suggested, that as a type 2 diabetic since 1994, it would be a good idea to visit a podiatrist. I was delighted to meet Louise, who in a friendly but firm way, has improved the state of my feet, not only by regular treatment of nails and corns, but also by checking circulation and advising about damage I have had from accidents from time to time. She has also provided solutions for hard skin on my heels. It’s good to feel confident that my feet are well looked after and healthy.”

Paul Deacon

“I’d suffered almost permanent hip pain which I thought was just part of getting older and something I would have to learn to live with. It was only after seeking advice from Louise for a running injury, and having a Footbalance Analysis, that she explained orthotics could help my alignment. She also showed me how to correctly use sports tape to support my injury. Louise is excellent value for money and since getting my orthotics, I am now pain free for the first time in years.”
